The ThoRAKx RRS (Roof Rack System) has arrived! One of the most frequently requested 4Runner accessories is now here! Designed to fit most soft tops and bikini tops.
The ThoRAKx RRS is an internally supported roof rack system for your 1st gen 4Runner. This is the standard model built for the budget minded and DIY 4Runner owner.
Standard model includes the ThoRAKx RRS framework, external roof rack mounts of your choice (see options) and one pass through seal kit. Shipping is not included. Contact us prior to purchase for questions. See Shipping information below in the important notes.
Highlights of the ThoRAKx RRS
All steel construction and engineered to be a stand alone roof rack to support rooftop tents, kayaks, gear basket, etc.
The ThoRAKx is designed to integrate into your current soft top and will use some of the soft tops supplied hardware and bracketry (cab mounts and tensioner) to maintain function and adjustability designed by the soft top manufacturer. Each ThoRAKx is trial fit before shipping.
The main support structures bolt into existing hardtop mounting points using your factory fasteners and depending on your application will replace some of your soft top support hardware.
This rack system comes fully welded and test fit. Your roof rack system will ship bare and will need to be powder coated or painted prior to assembly and installation.
We also offer a PREMIUM option for an additional charge for a ready to install convenient package for $200. The premium package includes finishing your ThoRAKx in a semi-gloss black powder coat and uprgaded shipping package to protect your investment during delivery. You can also order your ThoRAKx in many custom colors. Contact us for custom color availability.
Expect to see improved roof lines with this system that decreases water puddling and sagging.
We use quality steel in all our products. All brackets are CNC laser cut from 3/16" and 1/8" steel for superior strength. 1.5" .120 wall HREW and 3/4" .120 wall DOM form the structure of the frame. Billett steel tubing connectors are used in the fabrication of the ThoRAKx to provide for ease of shipping and a simple, quick assembly and installation.
The supplied mounting brackets will guide you as templates to mark and modify your soft top / bikini top for the pass through holes to mount the external roof rack mounts.
All hardware for the installation is included.
Assembly has been tested to 550 lbs (two adults and a RTT).
Your ThoRAKx RRS includes a pair of 1.5" roof rails standard as seen in the photos, 1" roof rails or Multi-Mounts (4 universal external brackets w/o cross bars).

Shipping, Returns, Liability Release and Guarantee
IMPORTANT SHIPPING STATEMENT - SHIPPING NOT INCLUDED WITH THE STANDARD ThoRAKx RSS.
Due to the size and weight of this item it will be subject to oversized surcharges. Shipping information will be obtained at the time of purchase and a shipping estimate will be generated. Shipping charges will be due upon completion of your ThoRAKx RRS and prior to shipping. The customer is welcome to setup shipping themselves via our preferred provider (UPS) and supply us with a shipping label. We strongly suggest including insurance with the self provided shipping.
Refunds - You may return your ThoRAKx for any reason in a new, un-installed condition. Customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. A restocking fee of 15% will be deducted from the purchaser's refund. Customer is responsible for any damages or lost components until received by Wicked Relics Off-Road.
Overlanding, camping and recreational activities can be inherently demanding on vehicles and mounted accessories. You, the consumer, are responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and usage of this product. We stand behind the craftsmanship of our product and will work with the consumer to resolve issues associated with a defect in our product.
By purchasing this product, the consumer, releases Wicked Relics Off-Road LLC of all liability associated with the use of this product. You, the consumer, release Wicked Relics Off-Road LLC of all liability associated with damage to your vehicle, persons, animals, private property and third party claims related to the use of this product.
This product requires modifying your soft top by cutting eight 5/16" pass through holes for the supplied grade 8 hardware to install the external roof rack mounts. Wicked Relics Off-Road LLC will supply with each kit a roll of fabric seal and rubber insulator pads for each mount. Due to the wear and tear on fabric and the harsh environments inherent in off-roading, overlanding and day to day use we do not guarantee the longevity of the consumers soft top when utilizing this accessory. If you are unwilling to release Wicked Relics Off-Road LLC of all liability associated with the purchase, installation and use of the ThoRAKx RRS then please do not make a purchase.
